We just had a really good time. Everything was fine and John was very helpful in letting us park and get into the apartment earlier than we had anticipated. The apartment was in a pleasant, quiet location.

I would recommend it

This apartment is in a fantastic location, and had a great setting by the canal. It overlooked a common area and had views of the canal and tow path. It is a good size - more than adequate for two couples. The parking was invaluable since Oxford can be a nightmare. The flat was very clean, light and airy. The beds were comfortable. It needs a little tlc - replacing light bulbs, a few more bits and pieces in the kitchen, tea towels, and mirrors in the bedrooms. The description on Airbnb isn't quite accurate - the main bathroom does not have an overhead power shower. This aside I would recommend it and would stay again.

Excellent Location

Comfortable Flat in Excellent location. I needed a place for my in-laws visiting from Australia. This place turned out to be ideal - comfortable flat located in a lovely neighbourhood close to parks, restaurants, and city centre. I'm now officially one step closer to favourite son-in-law, thanks to this flat.

Our son was in Oxford for the year renting an apartment at Wharf House (part of the same complex of this recently developed Lucy property). For our visit from the US, I wanted a rental nearby that had secure parking, easy access, and could comfortably house two couples for a week (almost a fantasy wish list I realize). On very short notice, John worked to successfully accommodate our schedule and requirements. Although expensive, this was a perfect place for us, a lovely bright apartment with a great view in a quiet, interesting, old neighborhood with parking below (for the car we never needed to use). It is easy walking distance (10-25 minutes) to almost any place in the heart of Oxford along Walton Street or, for variety, along the canal. The entrance to the amazing expanse of Port Meadow was just 5 minutes away. There are small shops (eg., Coop grocery. liquor store, pharmacy), interesting restaurants (The Standard and Brasserie Blanc), small cafes (Jericho Cafe), and old pubs (The Old Bookbinders and Rickety Press) within just a few blocks. Oxford University Press is nearby...take time to visit their museum. Thank you, John, for this lovely apartment. We had a wonderful time.

John was extremely helpful and accommodating to us, and the instructions for getting into the flat were very clear and easy to follow.

The place was nice, and in an excellent location. It was reasonably equipped and clean. I would rent the place again.
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment in Jericho, only a leisurely 15 - 20 minute walk into High Street in Oxford. It's in a fabulous part of town with great restaurants in the immediate vicinity. If you are looking to stay in Oxford, this is definitely the place you should base yourself! The apartment was spotlessly clean, very secure and perfectly functional. I would have no hesitation in returning to this apartment next time I come back to Oxford.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. The host, John, was not present (I never met him) but he provided very detailed notes on the property which were accurate and helpful. The apartment was modern, clean and in excellent condition. It was right in the heart of the Jericho district so within walking distance to pubs, restaurants and convenience stores. John's flat is very spacious and bright. The kitchen is well-equipped. There are hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the flat. The flat is just a few minutes walk to a lot of nice restaurants and bars. It is 15 minutes walk from the city centre. John is a very welcoming host and is always reachable by phone. We had a very pleasant stay.
